Forecasters say the region will experience strong winds and low humidities, plus warm temperatures. This “can contribute to extreme fire behavior,” according to NWS.
The winds will come out of the west at 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph. The gusty winds and very dry air will create conditions that could promote the rapid spread of wildfires. Prescribed or controlled burns may get out of control, so outdoor burning is not recommended. At the same time, humidity will be 20 to 25 percent.
