Meet One of Our DES Staff

πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’ Meet the Team: Featuring Corey Milewski

πŸ”₯ What is your role within the team, and what are your main responsibilities?
My role within the team is driver, firefighter, EMT, and swift water tech. My responsibilities include operational readiness of all apparatus in the station ranging from fire engines to swift water rescue boats. Working in South County has a wide variety of calls for service and that’s what I enjoy the most.

πŸš’ What do you enjoy most about working with our team/organization?
I enjoy coming to work every day and interacting with the volunteers at the station and on calls for service. Being stationed in South County has given me a new opportunity to be a part of Washington County’s swift water team. I love being on the water and continuing to progress as a boat operator.

πŸŽ–οΈ How do you envision contributing to the team’s goals or growth in the future?
I hope to one day be an officer in the department. I enjoy teaching and helping others to better their skills in the fire service.

πŸ‘ What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of work?
I enjoy volunteering my time at Westminster Fire Department in Carroll County, as well as spending time with my girlfriend Kellie.

πŸš— Do you have any public safety tips you would like to share with the citizens?
Smoke detectors are the most important tool for fire safety. Check them twice a year and replace old ones.

Join us in recognizing Corey Milewski for his outstanding dedication to community safety! πŸ‘πŸ‘
