Brush 11-1 was donated to company 11 through a government grant. This unit once belonged to the New Jersey National Guard and operated during Hurricane Sandy. Support 11-3 arrived just in time for the massive flooding in southern Washington County in May of 2018 where company 11’s first due area received 7 1/2 inches of rain in a 2 hour time period flooding out homes and washing out numerous roadways. Over the coming days, an additional 2 inches of rain fell over the area while Brush 11-1 was the only Fire Department vehicle that was able to access most of company 11’s area.
Brush 11-1 has under gone upgrades to better serve our area. A snow plow has been added along with emergency lighting, a 500 gallon water tank, 150 gpm pump.a booster line for Brush and mountain fires, Numerous Wildfire Hand Tools and Chain Saws.
